It provides a pathway to learn about work in the animal care and management industry and to assist with routine activities performed under close supervision in an animal care facility or service organisation.

FSKOCM002 - Engage in short and simple spoken exchanges at work
Elective Units
ACMINF101 - Take responsibility for the health and welfare of animals in own care
FSKDIG001 - Use digital technology for short and basic workplace tasks
FSKLRG002 - Identify strategies to respond to short and simple workplace problems
FSKLRG005 - Use strategies to plan simple workplace tasks
FSKNUM004 - Use basic and familiar metric measurements for work
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
7 units of competency:
- 5 core units plus
- 2 elective units
- Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. The electives are to be chosen as follows:
- 2 units from the electives below or from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
