Australian Early Development Index
The Australian Early Development Index (AEDI) is a population measure of children’s development in communities across Australia. It provides a national picture of children’s health and development with results that identify strengths in the community as well as what can be improved. DEEWR and state and territory governments are working with the Centre for Community Child Health and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research to deliver the AEDI.

The Australian Education Union has a membership of over 180,000 educators who work in public schools, colleges, early childhood and vocational settings in all states and territories of Australia. Members include teachers and allied educational staff, principals and administrators mainly in government school and TAFE systems.

Cancer Council Australia

The Equity and Childhood Program, in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education’s Youth Research Centre was previously the Centre for Equity and Innovation in Early Childhood. The Equity and Childhood Program has developed a strong research culture and international reputation for its work in equity and change research, professional development and teaching.

It is a statutory office created by the Fair Work Act 2009 operating independently of Government.
