Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals, including mine managers or mining engineering managers, who perform complex, non-routine tasks involving strategic and planning activities for open cut coal mines. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining operational systems and plans, including safety and health, environmental and management systems, providing leadership and mentoring to others, and understanding and managing legislative and operational requirements for mine sites. Entry Requirements Nil Packaging Rules Total number of units = 13 8 core units plus 5 elective units of which:

All elective units selected from outside this qualification must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level.
